How to Vote
To vote in Michigan, residents must register by October 6, 2025, online, by mail, or in person at their local clerk's office. Biography
Rebecca Lazarus is a longtime Ann Arbor educator and parent who has served on the AAPS Board since 2020. She is running for re-election to continue advancing equity, mental health support, and academic excellence across the district.
Jeffrey Gaynor is a community advocate and former AAPS teacher with over 20 years of experience in public education. He is running to strengthen special education services, improve teacher retention, and enhance transparency in district decision-making.
Many Muslim and Arab American voters are leaning toward third-party candidates or not voting, feeling neither main candidate values their families' lives. Others are choosing between Harris and Trump.
